Film Questions

 1.       Before seeing FACES PLACES I haven’t heard of JR or Agnes Varda.

2.       I feel that the film centers around the working classes because people tend to ignore them or look down on them but they make regular life possible by delivering groceries and goods along with retail services.

3.       Public art I look at it when I walk by on campus or in the streets and I think about why and how the artist created it.

4.       I feel like I once wrote a story with a former friend back in high school. I feel like most art is done alone but it feels better once in a while to work together.

5.       I feel that I relate more to Agnes because she talks about how photos help her remember the past and how in the future it reminds her of better times.

6.       It made me want to take more photos since my memory is poor and I often don’t remember most of my past experiences.

7.       I feel that we all age and as I get older I feel that I understand what it means to be a woman who is aging like Varda.

8.       I feel that when he finally removes his sunglasses he does it as a sign of respect and helps Varda relate to him better.

9.       I feel that the feeling of breeziness is created by having it very active and meeting a variety of people in the film and going to different locations.

10.   I feel like it made me wonder how portraits were taken and how photos hold memories of people and places that are no longer with us.
